The House of Faberg\u00e9 was founded in 1842 in St Petersburg, Russia, by Gustav Faberge. His son, Peter Carl Faberge, became jeweller and goldsmith to the great Russian Imperial Court.<\/p>\n

Peter Carl Faberge created exquisite jewels and objects, including the famous\u00a0jewel-encrusted Faberge Eggs\u00a0between 1885 and 1917. After the revolution, the Faberg\u00e9 family fled Russia and the Bolsheviks\u00a0nationalised\u00a0the\u00a0House of Faberg\u00e9 in 1918.<\/p>\n
