Be careful how you tell people you\u2019re doing this<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The City Adventurers headed into central London to try out the cheekily named Swingers<\/a>. No, it\u2019s not what you are thinking, but a chance to swing your club playing indoor crazy golf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are currently two venues of Swingers in London. The one we tried was at Oxford Circus and is themed around funfairs. We played THE BIG WHEEL. The other 9 hole course is the HELTER SKELTER. The blurb says its themed as crazy golf on the English Riviera. The other venue is near Liverpool Street and has courses based around a lighthouse and a windmill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being inside the courses are compact compared to the usual crazy gold courses. However, they are nicely designed with some tricky obstacles to negotiate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You play as a group with one ball between you. Instead of taking turns, you try to get the ball in the hole in as few shots as possible. We played as a two and there were a number of two\u2019s behind us. However, there were groups of four playing ahead of us. A large group of City Adventurers visited another day and were split into groups of four. Good to know as you wouldn\u2019t want more than four to a group, or it would hold things up too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can book your slot in advance or turn up and book a slot on the day. We had a few minutes to wait, so we grabbed a cocktail from the bar. There are a number of bars around the course and you can take your drinks with you while you play. There is even a drinks service on the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all that exercise, you can take advantage of the street food counters after your match. In fact you don\u2019t even have to play the crazy golf to visit Swingers for the drinks and food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a fun evening and even managed a couple of holes in one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
