My previous post advocated the importance of enjoying the journey of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However destinations or goals along the way are just as important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Deepak Om<\/a> points out our destination decides the direction we move in. And, in turn, this decides what kind of experiences we have on our journey. He quotes Tal Ben-Shahar as saying \u201cAttaining lasting happiness requires that we enjoy the journey on our way toward a destination we deem valuable. Happiness is not about making it to the peak of the mountain nor is it about climbing aimlessly around the mountain; happiness is the experience of climbing toward the peak.\u201d  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
