The reasons given were:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">It can prevent heart disease<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">It can prevent cancer<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">It keeps your bones strong<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">It can reduce the risk of Alzheimer&#8217;s<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">It can boost your mood<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/lifestyle\/health\/5-scientific-reasons-why-drinking-wine-is-good-for-you-a2923486.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read more<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Don&#8217;t buy cheap wine.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Did you know that wine is taxed twice? In addition to VAT at 20 per cent, wine also carries a duty. The duty is a fixed rate per bottle and is currently set at \u00a32.05 per bottle. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/lifestyle\/foodanddrink\/can-a-bottle-of-wine-ever-be-too-cheap-why-it-pays-to-spend-a-couple-more-pounds-in-the-supermarket-a3088666.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tom Forrest<\/a>, Head Sommelier at Vinopolis, notes in the Evening Standard that the duty bears no relation to the cost or quality of the wine. So once you deduct the cost of duty from your bottle of wine, the cost that is left should indicate the quality of the wine (including VAT).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Store wine\u00a0under the stairs.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"Body-4-C-C0\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">When storing wine at home, bear in mind that wine should be kept in a stable environment. The best storage is at 12 deg C, which is the temperature of a cellar. As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/lifestyle\/foodanddrink\/how-to-store-wine-at-home-and-its-not-in-the-garage-a3094951.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tom Forrest <\/a>notes in the Evening Standard it is advisable to avoid the attic and the garage due to temperature fluctuations and to avoid the kitchen, which is too warm.
