A\u00a0 full star cast appeared in the TV adaptation of the Agatha Christie mystery novel.\u00a0W<\/span><span id=\"productTitle\" class=\"a-size-large\">idely considered her masterpiece, she\u00a0described it as the most difficult of her books to write. <\/span>The production marks the 125th anniversary of her birth and came about following\u00a0a\u00a0deal between the BBC and Christie\u2019s estate bringing some of her best-known works to the small screen. The DVD of the show is\u00a0now available.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 176px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B01936Q0IM\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1634&amp;creative=6738&amp;creativeASIN=B01936Q0IM&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=invittoevent-21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/51M8I1AmE0L._SL250_.jpg\" alt=\"And Then There Were None\" width=\"176\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">And Then There Were None<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Set in 1939,\u00a0the plot revolves around\u00a010 strangers who are\u00a0invited to the isolated Soldier Island, near the Devon coast. Their\u00a0mysterious hosts, Mr and Mrs UN Owen, are absent when they arrive.\u00a0Cut off from the mainland by bad weather, they are\u00a0each accused \u00a0of murderous sins they have committed. As they are\u00a0carefully killed off one by one, the group realise there may be a murderer among them&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>Reported in the \u00a0Guardian in 2015, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2015\/sep\/01\/and-then-there-were-none-declared-worlds-favourite-agatha-christie-novel\">Christie estate<\/a> stated that And Then There Were None had sold more than 100m copies worldwide, making it the bestselling crime novel of all time.<\/p>\n<p>The new BBC adaptation\u00a0caused\u00a0controversy as it\u00a0features gruesome violence, swearing, sex, and drug taking.
