The first ever design museum to be built in the UK outside London.<\/h1>\n

V&A Museum of Design Dundee will be an international centre of design for Scotland. Renowned architect Kengo Kuma’s <\/a>has designed\u00a0the only purpose built galleries in Scotland large enough to showcase world-class touring exhibitions from the V&A\u00a0in their entirety. The galleries are planned as a place for all to enjoy and be inspired.<\/p>\n

As noted on their website<\/a>, the new museum will have four gallery spaces, two of which will combine to form the Scottish Design Galleries, providing, for the first time, a home to the story of Scotland\u2019s outstanding contribution to the international design stage from the 18th century to the present day.<\/p>\n

Getting ready for Burn’s Night, Treasure Hunts in London are organising a\u00a0treasure hunt around the V&A looking\u00a0at art and\u00a0artifacts\u00a0from north of the border. As always the\u00a0hunt has a mixture of straight and cryptic clues and puzzles to solve.<\/p>\n
