What happens when an ordinary British guy gets hit by\u00a0a meteor and turns into a\u00a0superhero?<\/h1>\n

Obviously he becomes a civil servant for\u00a0the\u00a0MOD.<\/h2>\n

\"Superbob\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Superbob<\/a> is “a day in the life”\u00a0story of Robert Kenner, a former postman who is also the world’s only SuperHero.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Staring\u00a0 Brett Goldstein and Catherine Tate this is a\u00a0British superhero film. Not so much an action adventure as a\u00a0romantic comedy. <\/span><\/p>\n

Before being hit by a meteorite, Robert\u00a0was\u00a0working as a postman. Since becoming Superbob he has saved the world but missed out on love.\u00a0Now he is an overworked, underappreciated civil servant, employed by the British Government, who spends\u00a0his waking hours saving people and filling out forms.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The film follows him on a rare day off.\u00a0If he can actually get his boss to\u00a0allow him some free time, he is going on his first date for 6 years. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Shot\u00a0in south London\u00a0on his day off\u00a0this mockumentary format follows Bob\u00a0as he prepares for his date, being hampered by\u00a0spectacular disasters\u00a0happening all around him in the build-up to World War Three. <\/span><\/p>\n

Brett Goldstein, who plays Superbob, also co-wrote it. Catherine Tate, plays SuperBob\u2019s boss, Theresa, an M to his James Bond and David Harewood plays\u00a0a Paxmanesque TV anchor.<\/span><\/p>\n

And What if Britain really did have a Superhero?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Brett Goldstein was a little cagey when he told\u00a0Bruce Dessau of the\u00a0Evening Standard <\/a>that, \u00a0amazingly, the MoD has a genuine plan already in place\u00a0and that a real superhero would be put to use as a loan to other countries to secure international co-operation.<\/span><\/p>\n
