Not organised by the V & A Museum,\u00a0Treasure Hunts in London are organising a\u00a0treasure hunt around the V&A looking\u00a0at art and\u00a0artifacts\u00a0from north of the border. Bring your team of 2 to 4 players to explore this top London museum to discover art and artefacts from north of the border.<\/p>\n

As always the\u00a0hunt has a mixture of straight and cryptic clues and puzzles to solve.\u00a0The clues are aimed at an adult audience and require you to \u201chunt\u201d for the \u201ctreasure\u201d (ie items within the museum collection) before answering questions about it.<\/p>\n

How does the hunt work? <\/b><\/h2>\n

Is it like a guided walk through the museum? <\/b>
\nNo, this is a Treasure Hunt. It is not a guided walk.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0You will be required to HUNT for the TREASURE (which is the collection held within the V & A Museum).<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0You will have to solve the cryptic clue or puzzle to determine the object you are hunting.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Then you have to find the objects location within this top London museum.<\/em><\/p>\n

Once you’ve found the object you can answer the question about it to win the points.<\/p>\n

What happens after the hunt?<\/b><\/h3>\n

We will rendezvous at a nearby bar for some wine (a soft drink can be requested). Treasure Hunts in London staff will mark the answer sheets, announce the results and award prizes to the winning team.<\/p>\n

The next treasure hunt available to the public\u00a0will be on Saturday 30th\u00a0July\u00a02016 at 2pm.\u00a0The treasure hunt will end with sharing a glass or two of wine in a nearby bar. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.Tickets must be booked in advance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unsung heroes<\/h2>\n

Taking a look at the designs that create and shape the built world, the\u00a0Engineering Season runs from 18 May-6 November 2016 \u00a0at the V&A.<\/p>\n

A large-scale installation has been\u00a0commissioned to\u00a0mark the start of the V&A\u2019s Engineering Season. Called Elytra Filament Pavilion, the\u00a0massive robot-made canopy inspired by beetle shells will be erected\u00a0in the V&A\u2019s garden.<\/p>\n

In addition to the garden pavilion woven by a robot, there will be a major retrospective of the Danish British engineer, Ove Arup.<\/p>\n

There will also be a display highlighting the global impact of contemporary British engineers.<\/p>\n
