Following on from the other\u00a0public art trails, this year sees the\u00a0BFG Dream Jar Trail.<\/p>\n
There will be 32 Dream Jars to discover from 9 July\u00a0with another\u00a018 in place by 22 July. Although most are in London there are a few\u00a0in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester. The art works will be on display on the streets until 31st August 2016.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0sculptures have been created to raise money for\u00a0Save the Children<\/a>. Celebrities and artists were asked what they dreamed of as children. These dreams were used to produce\u00a0the giant Dream Jars.<\/p>\n The jars will be auctioned\u00a0on Paddle8.com<\/a> from 17\u00a0July to 31 August\u00a0to support the vital work of Save the Children<\/a> and Roald Dahl\u2019s Marvellous Children\u2019s Charity<\/a>,<\/p>\n Just like the Paddington bears and Shaun the Sheep sculptures, these street artworks are produced to tie with with a film release.\u00a0Roald Dahl\u2019s The BFG is being released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from 22 July 2016.\u00a0The story goes that the BFG keeps the good dreams <\/span>in\u00a0Dream Jars and that he delivers them into \u201cchilddlers\u201d bedrooms using his giant dream trumpet.<\/span><\/p>\n If you go hunting for the Dream Jars, please note that some will be moved from the streets on Friday 15 July for the\u00a0The BFG premiere in Leicester Square. They will return\u00a0on the morning of Monday 18 July.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
