Ever heard the phrase “Pics or it Didn’t Happen”?<\/h2>\n

How many photos does the average holiday maker take?<\/p>\n

Research, carried out by easyJet on 2,000 travellers in 2019, discovered that people take around 2,500 photos during a week\u2019s holiday.<\/p>\n

It’s good to capture your memories on camera, but don’t spend all your time posting them on social media.<\/p>\n

A study in 2017 revealed that nearly half of the 2,000 study participants admitted missing out on “vital holiday experiences because\u00a0of time spent on social media” and 44% of them felt that “social media ruined their holiday experience.” It also found that the average holiday maker spent nine hours browsing social media during their week long trip.<\/p>\n

Yes, the report blamed social media for making the holiday makers forget about enjoying the world around them. Not that this was a new phenomena. I’m sure we’ve all witnessed people watching the world through their video camera long before social media was a thing.<\/p>\n

And what of all the cine cameras from the 50’s and 60’s?\u00a0At least then the memories were only shared AFTER the holiday.<\/p>\n
