St Andrews University

St Andrews in Fife on the east coast of Scotland is named after Saint Andrew. It is home to the oldest university in Scotland and the  third oldest university in the English speaking world. St Andrews university was founded in 1413 and has a reputation as one of Europe’s leading and most distinctive centres for teaching and research.

 

The University is an integral part of the burgh, and during term time students make up approximately one third of the town’s population. St Andrews has a population of 16,680, making it the fifth largest settlement in Fife.

St Andrews Girls

Girls were admitted to the University of St Andrews 123 years ago. To mark this The Other Guys celebrated St. Andrews Girls with a tongue-in-cheek parody and charity record.
