After a few years away from quiz nights, it looks as if they are starting to make a come back. I’m not talking about the online ones. I mean the in person, group of friends around a table discussing the questions and answers type quiz.
Of course with the questions also comes the dispute. Was it a fair question? Could there be a number of different, but equally right, answers?
First up we have
What is the longest month?
We discussed it and concluded September must be the longest as it has the most letters in it’s name. The longest month was the longest one to spell.
The actual answer was October.
Why October? The answer they wanted was that, as the clocks go back in October, there is an extra hour over the thirty-one days. So October has 31 days and 1 hour.
As we mulled this over, we found another answer could be January. Why? Because you get paid mid-December, but you have to wait six weeks for the next pay day.
Multiple “right” answers reminded us of a clip from Third Rock from the Sun – How far is Cleveland.
