World Humanitarian Day – 19th August

On 19 August 2003 22 aid workers were killed in a bombing at the UN headquarters in Baghdad. Aiming to raise public awareness of the work undertaken by humanitarian organisations Humanitarian Day takes place annually on 19th August.
