While on a trip to Coventry, the City Adventurers paid a visit to the Secret Quarry Garden. Open from 10 am to 4pm, its entrance can be found near the main car park to Russell’s Garden centre.
The garden is housed in an old quarry, hence the name and contains six acres of pools, streams, trees and shrubs, plus a variety of wildlife.
Nearby we noticed a railway attraction – The Bridge View Light Railway. This is a 7 1/4 inch gauge miniature railway, built and operated by a group of enthusiasts and volunteers since 2018. Unfortunately it was not open when we visited.
