While staying in Harrogate, the City adventurers took a trip to nearby Ripley Castle. This is a Grade I listed 14th-century country house in Ripley, North Yorkshire that is still a family home.
Having parked in the small car park, we headed to the entrance to the estate, which is located within the coffee shop Gindhus. Having entered, we were met by our guide for a tour around. being a family home we were not able to take photos inside, but could take photos outside when we explored the gardens after the tour.
Six of the Castle’s Rooms are open to the public, including the Library, Drawing Room,
Tower Room & the Knights Chamber. The tour guide regaled us with some amazing stories as we explored.
