WTF? – Fruit Wine

While on a trip to Winchester Christmas Market, the City Adventurers came across WTF, or Wine Thats Fruit. Making our own wine from fruit grown in our garden, we were keen to try this out.

Wine That’s Fruit is a family-run business based in Herefordshire, United Kingdom. We spoke to Peter Allen, the founder of WTF, who also made wine as a hobby, until he decided to turn his passion into a business.

In 2019 he built a winery in his back garden that was equipped to make 1200 bottles. He and his team hand picked fruit from farms and began experimenting with fruit wine recipes. After arranging taste testing various options they settled on a range of fruit wines and began manufacturing in 2021. The wines come in environmentally friendly packaging, that keeps the wine fresher for longer.

The wines are also gluten-free, sulphite-free, and vegan friendly.

Personally, I liked the Strawberry wine best. And, as it was Christmas, found the mulled Blackcurrant wine delicious. Still to try the Whitecurrant wine.
