Britain’s national beer day – June 15th

The Great British Pint.

On Monday June 15th 2015 at 12.15pm the first annual British National Beer Day will commence. This is to be a celebration of the Great British Pint. The timing of the event, 12.15pm, relates to the year that Magna Carta was sealed.

Raise your glasses

At 12.15pm on June 15th it is hoped that the nation will raise its glasses and say cheers to British beer. Share the event on Twitter using the hashtag #CheersBDB.

Britain’s greatest export?

Beer Day Britain suggest beer could be Britain’s greatest export, due to its exportation around the world in the 18th century and the proliferation of beer styles invented in Britain that are now brewed worldwide.

Types of beer enjoyed across the globe include Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, Mild, Brown Ale, Stout, Porter, Imperial Russian Stout, and Barley Wine.
