Epping Forest District Museum is housed in Grade II* listed Tudor building in Waltham Abbey. The newly redeveloped museum features six galleries, plus a community space for hire. It has a collection of over 50,000 objects telling the story of the Epping Forest district.
The Core Gallery includes cabinets of curiosities to explore and features windows into behind-the-scenes areas.
The museum was awarded a Visit Britain ‘We’re Good to Go’ safety certificate. There is a hand sanitiser station at the entrance and visitors are asked to leave their contact details to help with Test, Track and Trace. Visitors are to maintain social distancing and to wear face coverings if possible.
