Not organised by the V & A Museum, Treasure Hunts in London are organising a treasure hunt around the V&A looking at art and artifacts from north of the border. Bring your team of 2 to 4 players to explore this top London museum to discover art and artefacts from north of the border.
As always the hunt has a mixture of straight and cryptic clues and puzzles to solve. The clues are aimed at an adult audience and require you to “hunt” for the “treasure” (ie items within the museum collection) before answering questions about it.

How does the hunt work?
Is it like a guided walk through the museum?
No, this is a Treasure Hunt. It is not a guided walk.
• You will be required to HUNT for the TREASURE (which is the collection held within the V & A Museum).
• You will have to solve the cryptic clue or puzzle to determine the object you are hunting.
• Then you have to find the objects location within this top London museum.
Once you’ve found the object you can answer the question about it to win the points.
What happens after the hunt?
We will rendezvous at a nearby bar for some wine (a soft drink can be requested). Treasure Hunts in London staff will mark the answer sheets, announce the results and award prizes to the winning team.
The next treasure hunt available to the public will be on Saturday 30th July 2016 at 2pm. The treasure hunt will end with sharing a glass or two of wine in a nearby bar. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.Tickets must be booked in advance.

Unsung heroes
Taking a look at the designs that create and shape the built world, the Engineering Season runs from 18 May-6 November 2016 at the V&A.
A large-scale installation has been commissioned to mark the start of the V&A’s Engineering Season. Called Elytra Filament Pavilion, the massive robot-made canopy inspired by beetle shells will be erected in the V&A’s garden.
In addition to the garden pavilion woven by a robot, there will be a major retrospective of the Danish British engineer, Ove Arup.
There will also be a display highlighting the global impact of contemporary British engineers.
