The City Adventurers attended a Brewery Tour at the Camden Town Brewery.
The Camden Town Brewery website says it is located under the railway arches at Wilkin Street Mews, a short walk from Camden Town. However, TFL and Google Maps reckoned the nearest station was Kentish Town West. So we hopped on the overground from Highbury and Islington for a couple of stops.
NB Don’t be fooled by the directions given from the station. As the brewery goes almost the length of the railway arches, you can enter from either end and do not need to traipse all through the park to the entrance. In fact the entrance is right next door to the Kentish Town West station!
We were met by Duncan, who took us on an informative tour of the brewery.
Then we went back in the beer hall for a tasting session of 5 beers. We all had our favourites and it made for a lively discussion.
While a few of the group left, a couple of us stayed on to sample the food (and have another pint). Well it was the freshest beer you could get – straight from the tank.
A great evening out and one we’d recommend.
Tickets are £25.00 each from the Camden Town Brewery
